ServiceNow ITSM & Custom App Developer

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and proactive ServiceNow ITSM & Custom App Developer to join our IT Service Management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and maintaining ServiceNow ITSM modules and building custom applications on the Now Platform. You will play a key role in optimizing and automating ITSM processes, enhancing user experience, and delivering innovative business solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, CMDB, etc.)

• Develop and deploy custom applications on the ServiceNow platform tailored to business needs

• Create and manage Business Rules, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Workflows, Flow Designer, and Script Includes

• Implement Service Catalog Items, SLAs, Notifications, and Reports

• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate into technical solutions, and deliver enhancements

• Integrate ServiceNow with third-party tools and APIs using REST/SOAP web services

• Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices within the ServiceNow ecosystem

• Support instance maintenance, upgrades, performance tuning, and troubleshooting

• Provide documentation and user training as required

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development

• Strong experience with ITSM modules and at least 1 full-cycle implementation

• Proven expertise in creating custom scoped applications

• Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow Scripting

• Experience in ServiceNow Studio, App Engine, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) Mandatory

• Additional certifications (ITSM, App Developer, Integration) Preferred

Good to Have :

• Knowledge of CMDB, Discovery, or Asset Management

• Experience with Performance Analytics, Virtual Agent, or Service Portal customization

• Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines in a ServiceNow context
