Job Description We are seeking a talented Staff ServiceNow Software Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and optimization of our ServiceNow platform. This person will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy code that supports our most complex functional areas. They will be responsible for implementing modern world-class services that are scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant. In addition, they will partner with product management to envision future features and help plan product roadmaps.

Responsibilities

  • Code Development: Develop high-quality code that meets business requirements and follows industry best practices.
  • Technical Strategy: Develop a clear vision for the ServiceNow platform and create a long-term strategy to achieve the goals.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to identify and prioritize project needs.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure solutions are high-quality, secure, and observable.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement and provide regular feedback.

Requirements To succeed in this role, you will need 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including hands-on operational experience. You must have experience driving engineering best practices for high-functioning software engineering teams through effective use of tools and expertise. Additionally, you should have demonstrable knowledge of data structures, asynchronous architectures, and distributed algorithms. Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written.

Desirable Skills Familiarity with deployment and observability strategies that support continuous delivery and high availability in a cloud-native environment is a plus. Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and AngularJS is also desirable. Experience with Glide API and other ServiceNow-specific scripting languages is a bonus.
