Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow developer to play a critical role in the development and operational support of our ServiceNow platform.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our team as we continue to implement new strategic capabilities and improve existing functions in ServiceNow.
- About the Role:
- Act as a key contributor in developing and implementing ServiceNow capabilities, working closely with product owners to ensure successful implementation.
- Operational support and continual improvement of our ServiceNow instance, driving business value through process optimization and automation.
- Develop metrics, governance, and documentation for ServiceNow development efforts, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.
- Participate in developing IT strategy and ensure that development processes support those objectives, driving business outcomes through technology enablement.
- Build strong relationships with technology and business leaders, fostering collaboration and driving business results through effective communication.
- Comfortable developing and managing continual improvement plans for ITIL processes, driving process excellence and efficiency.
- Develop, align, and continually improve development documentation, ensuring clarity and consistency across teams.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience: 8+ years in software engineering required; 5+ years configuring and developing applications on the ServiceNow platform required.
- Certifications: Two or more of the following ServiceNow certifications: Certified Systems Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) required.
- Skills: Experience integrating multiple data sets into ServiceNow, leveraging conflict, deduplication, and reconciliation rules to maintain data integrity required. Foundational certification in ITIL v3 or above is required. Understanding of IT workflows as well as experience with at least two of the following: ServiceNow products: ITSM, ITOM, HAM, SAM, or GRC required. Expert level development skills on the ServiceNow platform: JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Flow Designer, Script Includes, etc. required.
Desired Skills:
A plus if you have:
- Experience building integrations with 3rd party systems using REST and SOAP web services.
- Experience with Agile development process.
- Previous experience working with Business Architecture concepts (TOGAF).
- Ability to demonstrate managing large organizational changes with excellent collaboration skills.
- Experience with multiple ITSM tool transitions, specifically recent ServiceNow or Remedy experience.
- Comfortable operating in white space without direction, including developing strategies and improvement plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the organization.
