Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist

Job Title: Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite) Duration/Term: Long Term Contract

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist with 8-10+ years of expertise in ServiceNow SAM, SNOW Software, and asset management solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of SAM Pro modules, ITSM workflows, vendor licensing models, and inventory/discovery solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate license compliance positions for vendors like Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, and SAP.
• Plan and manage renewals, renewal recommendations, harvesting, and optimization efforts.
• Oversee day-to-day SAM operations, ensuring effective software asset tracking.
• Develop resource planning strategies and facilitate team building initiatives.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior team members.
• Handle escalation management for complex licensing and compliance issues.

Required Skills & Experience:

• ServiceNow SAM Pro CIS Certification with expertise in SAM Pro module data structures.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow ITSM module and vendor licensing models.
• Knowledge of inventory/discovery tools, including ADDM, BigFix, SCCM, ServiceNow.
• Hands-on experience with Hardware Asset Management, CMDB, and Service Request Management.
• Excellent presentation skills for reporting and stakeholder communication.
