Senior ServiceNow Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our team at MISO.

As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will play a key role in leading technical development efforts within the platform team. You will assign development tasks, perform quality reviews of development work, and ensure technical deliverables meet compliance, security, design, and development standards.

You will also support and mentor other developers, contribute to complex projects, and foster a culture of continuous growth through knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Lead ServiceNow development efforts, ensuring alignment with platform architecture, coding standards, and governance frameworks.
• Design, develop, and implement scalable ServiceNow applications, workflows, and integrations using scripting, APIs, and automation tools.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and peer reviews to ensure maintainable code and adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate requirements into technical solutions, participating in Agile ceremonies and technical discussions.
• Maintain system performance, data integrity, and compliance through testing, documentation, and continuous process improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
• At least five years of ServiceNow development experience, strong Agile experience, and the ability to execute technical solutions within a structured governance framework.
• Strong expertise in ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, and CMDB (SecOps, GRC, and SPM preferred).
• Hands-on experience integrating ServiceNow with third-party applications using REST APIs and Integration Hub.
• Experience working in environments that require governance, risk, and compliance considerations (NERC CIP experience a plus).
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) - Required.
• Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD) - Required.
• ITIL v4 Foundation Certification (preferred).
