ServiceNow CMDB Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CMDB Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on ServiceNow CMDB, with experience in CI discovery and maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimizing CMDB data quality.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and managing the scope of configuration items, maintaining the overall integrity and accuracy of the CMDB, and identifying, accepting, and recording new and updated CIs.

This is a challenging role that requires expertise in ServiceNow Discovery, MID servers, Cloud Discovery, and integrations. The candidate must also understand CMDB governance and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage the scope of configuration items (CIs)
• Maintain the overall integrity and accuracy of the CMDB
• Identify, accept, and record new and updated CIs
• Evaluate and approve discovered CI data for accuracy
• Schedule and execute ongoing CMDB reconciliations and analyses
• Assist with internal/external audit and regulatory compliance activities
• Design, develop, and produce reports on CMDB data
• Support the company's commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Configuration Management, IT Service Management, Systems Administration, or related fields
• 3+ years of experience in managing configuration items and an enterprise CMDB in a high security environment
• Experience implementing and maintaining a multi-source CMDB
• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
• Prior experience with ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping
• CM2 Comprehensive (CM2-C) or higher-level certification
• ITIL Foundations or higher-level certification

Locations

We are hiring for four locations: Phoenix (AZ.), Chicago (IL.), San Francisco (CA.), and New York (NY). You must already reside in one of these cities to be eligible for the position. Relocation is not an option.
