ServiceNow Developer – SPM

We are seeking a ServiceNow Developer with strong hands-on experience specifically in ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).

In this role, you will work on moderately complex software engineering projects, participate in planning sessions, and deliver key ServiceNow solutions aligned to client initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) applications and modules.
• Consult on or participate in moderately complex technology initiatives related to ServiceNow Engineering deliverables.
• Review and analyze technical challenges to provide scalable and efficient solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ServiceNow SPM project deliverables, enhancements, and improvements
• Participate in planning, estimation, design, development, and deployment activities for ServiceNow initiatives.
• Ensure deliverables adhere to client policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to issue resolution and continuous improvement activities within ServiceNow Engineering teams.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Software Engineering or ServiceNow Development experience (or equivalent through a combination of work, consulting, military, or education experience).
• 2+ years of hands-on experience specifically in ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) development and configuration.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, modules, workflows, scripting, and integrations.
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, Agile methodology, and SDLC processes.
• Excellent collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITBM, ITOM) is a plus.
• Certifications such as ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or ServiceNow SPM certifications are highly desirable.
• Financial services or highly regulated industry experience is preferred.

Note:

• Candidate must be local or willing to relocate to Des Moines, IA.
• Hybrid work model – minimum 2–3 days onsite required.
