Overview

We are currently using ServiceNow Knowledge Management V3 and have recently enabled the article versioning feature.

As a result, we would like to build a system that automatically redirects users to the latest published version when they access an older version of an article.

Scope of Work

  • Implement logic to automatically redirect users accessing old article versions with sys_id to the latest version

  • Create simple documentation of the implementation (e.g., added scripts, configuration management methods, etc.)

Requirements

  • Practical experience with ServiceNow Knowledge Management V3

  • Deep understanding of Knowledge Article Versioning and record-based scripts

  • Skills in implementing redirect logic based on version status

Deliverables

  • Redirect from old articles to the latest articles is functioning

  • Simple management guide including maintenance and deactivation procedures
