ServiceNow ITOM Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow ITOM Senior Developer to implement IT operations requirements for a new ServiceNow implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test and implement automated processes and workflows for ITOM applications: Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Operational Intelligence, and Cloud Management
• Automate processes and workflows for gathering, populating, and maintaining CMDB data
• Configure and maintain the ServiceNow Discovery MID servers, patterns, sensors, probes, Discovery IP ranges and schedules
• Implement across multiple environments such as Windows, UNIX, and SNMP devices
• Integrate with other data sources and Cloud Discovery, and how discovery and integrations populate the CMDB
• Resolve complex issues by troubleshooting, testing and identifying root causes
• Communicate effectively with customer team members to capture business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Contribute to Service Mapping efforts through scripting and discovery
• Support CSDM initiatives
• Develop and deploy ITOM dashboards
• Provide high-quality client reports

Requirements:

• Deep understanding of ITIL framework and industry best practices with ITIL v3 or v4
• Practical experience with Agile SCRUM methodology
• 7+ years of experience on ServiceNow platform with expertise on ITOM
• Proven track record of designing and building successful ServiceNow Service Mapping solutions
• ServiceNow Admin/Developer certification preferred
• Service mapping, MID server configuration, data mapping skills
• Extensive experience with ServiceNow out of box functionalities
• Comprehensive understanding of ServiceNow Discovery, including Cloud Discovery and its impact on the CMDB
• Strong knowledge of IP Subnets to develop effective ServiceNow Discovery schedules
• Proficiency in protocols such as HTTP, TCP, SNMP, SOAP, and REST
• System administration skills using SHELL/BASH and/or Power Shell
• Familiarity with XML and JSON/script language concepts
• Knowledge of tools such as HCL BigFix, SCCM, JAMF, SolarWinds, SPLUNK
• Ability to write automation scripts using common automation tools
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Results-driven with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Adaptable with a strong ability to manage change
• Experience with IT Asset Management and CMBD integration a plus
