Job Title: ServiceNow CMDB SME (Subject Matter Expert)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow CMDB SME to lead the design, implementation, and governance of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CMDB architecture, ServiceNow Discovery, integration with asset and infrastructure systems, and driving CMDB data quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the SME for all CMDB-related functions within ServiceNow.
• Design and implement scalable CMDB architectures aligned with ITIL practices.
• Lead ServiceNow Discovery and integration with infrastructure tools (e.g., SCCM, SolarWinds, Tanium, vCenter).
• Develop and enforce data governance processes, including CI data quality, lifecycle management, and reconciliation rules.
• Collaborate with process owners and stakeholders across IT, security, and operations.
• Customize CMDB classes, relationships, and CI types based on business needs.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to CMDB administrators and technical teams.
• Establish and monitor CMDB health metrics and dashboards.
• Support audits and compliance initiatives by ensuring accurate CI data.
• Drive continuous improvements for CMDB coverage, completeness, and accuracy.
