We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer specializing in ServiceNow to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will write and maintain code within the ServiceNow platform, implementing new features and capabilities while enhancing performance and maintainability. Your efforts will directly contribute to reducing technical debt in alignment with our technology and product roadmaps.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Collaborating with Product Management to pinpoint the challenges faced by customers and end users, designing effective solutions together.
  • Recommending innovative solutions for processes, technology, and interfaces that enhance team efficiency and minimize technical debt.
  • Anticipating capacity needs for component usage and addressing any limitations.
  • Contributing to the estimation of story sizes, backlog management, and release planning.
  • Engaging in product and solution design to tackle critical issues and complex challenges.
  • Building solutions across multiple ServiceNow products as per stakeholder requirements.
  • Understanding technical architecture and writing code and automated tests that adhere to established standards.
  • Conducting troubleshooting and investigations as necessary.
  • Providing ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance for deployed products.
  • Mentoring junior software engineers by offering technical guidance and oversight.
  • Participating actively in the engineering community, staying updated on emerging software technologies and best practices, and sharing insights with colleagues.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices.
  • Designing, coding, testing, correcting, and documenting ServiceNow scripts, workflows, triggers, and actions based on agreed specifications and standards.
  • Participating in reviews of your own work and leading reviews for colleagues.
  • Managing enhancements to ServiceNow to boost business performance.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in key ServiceNow modules such as ITSM and Service Catalog.
  • Expertise in creating and managing Scripted REST APIs for integration with external systems.
  • Hands-on experience in ServiceNow Application Development, particularly in building and maintaining custom applications.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices like CI/CD pipelines for ServiceNow development; experience with tools like Git is advantageous.
  • Strong command of JavaScript, Glide Scripting, and API Development.
  • Excellent analysis and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience with ServiceNow development tools, including Studio, Flow Designer, Service Portal, and Virtual Agent.
  • Working knowledge of Agile application development practices.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and at least 4 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable.
  • Certification in ServiceNow system administration and/or application development (e.g., CSA, CAD).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow Micro or Implementation Certifications.
  • Agile Certifications.

The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $99,000.00 to $165,000.00, based on relevant experience and qualifications. Additional compensation opportunities, such as an incentive program, may also be available.
