ServiceNow Developer Position Overview

This role involves working as a key team member in successfully designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions for clients. The position entails collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, configure, customize, and implement ServiceNow applications according to specific client business requirements. Main Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design and Implementation: Collaborate with Solutions Architects and Business Analysts to understand and document the business outcomes and functional requirements of ServiceNow solutions. Translate these into effective ServiceNow solution designs.
  • Technical Expertise: Develop and maintain complex scripts, business rules, and UI policies in ServiceNow. Implement ServiceNow solutions aligned with designed requirements and ensure they meet industry best practices.
  • Data Migration: Assist in data migration design and activities from legacy systems to ServiceNow, ensuring accuracy and consistency during the transition. Validate that data is migrated to the most beneficial ServiceNow data structures.
  • Integration Management: Support architects and senior developers in integrating ServiceNow with other systems and applications to create seamless end-to-end processes.
  • Documentation: Create detailed documentation of configurations, customizations, data schemas, and technical decisions for future reference.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of ServiceNow configurations to validate functionality, data integrity, and user experience. Address any issues and perform necessary adjustments.
  • User Training: Support end-user training to ensure a smooth adoption of implemented solutions.
  • Change Management: Assist change management efforts by supporting senior developers, architects, and users during the transition period, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Incident Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow implementations. Collaborate with support teams to provide timely resolution to incidents.
  • Security Compliance: Adhere to security best practices and ensure that implemented solutions meet relevant compliance requirements. Required Qualifications and Certifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience implementing ServiceNow solutions.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Must have a current Public Trust or Secret Clearance and be able to obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance.
  • MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.). Valuable Skills:
  • Certified in one or more mainline certifications, preferably ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or Certified Implementation Specialist.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT Service Management (ITSM) principles.
  • Strong scripting skills in JavaScript and GlideScript.
  • Experience in customizing UI and creating complex workflows.
  • An understanding of integration techniques with external systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Detail-oriented tendencies with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and internal teams professionally. About This Opportunity:
