Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our Service Management Systems (SMS) team, you will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing the ServiceNow platform.
About the Role
This is a senior technical position that requires a deep understanding of ServiceNow best practices, ITIL, and ITSM principles. You will design and build integrations with various systems, develop code for enhancements, ensure the platform adheres to corporate security policies and ISO 27001/2 requirements, install and maintain ServiceNow patches, learn corporate ITSM processes, manage users, groups, and their access to the platform, mentor technical resources, monitor MID Servers, plan and upgrade ServiceNow, support the platform as a senior technical lead, and utilize Agile Development for code development.
Responsibilities
- Design and build integrations with various systems.
- Develop code for enhancements using ServiceNow best practices.
- E nsure the platform adheres to corporate security policies and ISO 27001/2 requirements.
- Install and maintain ServiceNow patches.
- Learn corporate ITSM processes to address Change Requests, Incidents, Problems, etc.
- Manage users, groups, and their access to the platform.
- Mentor technical resources within the SMS team.
- Monitor MID Servers to ensure adequate uptime and accurate configuration.
- Plan and upgrade ServiceNow twice annually.
- Support the ServiceNow platform as a senior technical lead.
- Utilize Agile Development for code development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Full understanding of ServiceNow best practices in coding, workflows, etc.
- Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM principles is preferred.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB best practices is highly desired, including Common Services Data Model (CSDM), Discovery (Automated Horizontal Discovery), and Service Mapping (Automated Vertical Discovery).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in ITSM, ITOM modules.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT Operations working with various IT teams.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the ServiceNow platform.
- Previous experience supporting CMDB and CSDM is required.
- Must have a current and active ServiceNow System Admin Basic Certification.
- ServiceNow System Administration Advanced Certification is a plus.
- ServiceNow HAM Pro and SAM Pro certifications are preferred.
