  1. The client is doing a Greenfield implementation of ServiceNow. All candidates should have experience building ServiceNow out from scratch. They should have unboxed it and built it all the way out.

  5. Soft Skills: This person needs to be personable, very organized, able to self manage, stick to tight deadlines, and have an extreme ownership mentality. They are being asked to deliver a greenfield implementation as the SME and main ServiceNow POC.

Job Description

Client is looking to hire a ServiceNow Developer for a 6 month contract to hire. They currently do not have a formal ticketing system. Right now they use a Slack channel to intake service requests. This is something that worked when they had 200 employees, but the expectation is that they will be over 2000 employees in the next 12-18 months. They are doing a greenfield ServiceNow implementation and need someone that can lead this project and deliver on the new build. There will be some design work and a lot of build work. They have purchased ITSM Pro, ITOM, and Hardware Asset Management.

Candidates should all have experience building out ServiceNow from scratch. The first two things that they will be implementing are Service Management and Change Management. Every candidate should have extensive experience with both modules and should specifically have experience implementing these. They have leaders and team members that will help with this project, but very little in house ServiceNow knowledge. It will be this persons responsibility to bring the ServiceNow knowledge and experience to the table. Candidates need to be able to work well with many cross functional teams to help gather requirements and drive adoption. They need to be able to self manage and stick to tight deadlines. This person needs to be a go getter that can remain very organized, take requirements form the team and then go pound the pavement.

This person needs to provide both best practices as well as the bulk of the specific ServiceNow build work. This is an incredibly exciting and fast growing startup that needs to be able to move quickly to deliver on significant goals for 2025 and beyond. This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a highly touted start up. Candidates need to be able to go onsite 5 days a week here in Austin. Collaboration is a huge part of this work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Candidates need to have experience with the relevant coding languages like Java, Javascript, HTML, Etc.
  • Operations management experience would be a nice to have.

Client does not yet have a ticketing system. They are currently using a Slack channel to input Service requests. This worked with 100-200 employees, but they will be up to 2000 employees in the next 12-18 months and need a permanent solution. They want to implement ServiceNow ASAP
