ServiceNow Developer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our team.

Job Title: ServiceNow Developer - CMDB & Discovery

• Experience: 4-6 years of hands-on development experience on the ServiceNow platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow modules, especially CMDB and Discovery.
• Implement and optimize ServiceNow Discovery to ensure accurate and timely asset data population in the CMDB.
• Maintain CI data quality by creating and updating identification rules, reconciliation rules, and business services mapping.
• Develop and maintain MID Servers, credentials, and probes for successful Discovery scans.
• Build and enhance integrations between ServiceNow and external systems for automated data population.
• Collaborate with ITSM, ITOM, and Security teams to support CMDB-dependent functionalities.
• Troubleshoot Discovery and CMDB issues, analyze logs, and resolve data inconsistencies.
• Develop scripts, business rules, client scripts, and UI policies for improved automation and data integrity.
• Perform regular audits and data quality checks for the CMDB.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support release planning and execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience in ServiceNow CMDB and Discovery module.
• Proficient in JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, and scripting in ServiceNow.
• Experience configuring MID Servers, Discovery schedules, patterns, and probes.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and Configuration Management.
• Good knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture and data model.
• Experience working with Service Mapping, Event Management (optional but a plus).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
