The role of a ServiceNow Application Developer is multifaceted. They work closely with their team to develop, administer, maintain, configure, test, support, and implement solutions that meet ongoing business needs for Bandwidth's ServiceNow environment.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Applying technical knowledge to operate and administer infrastructure or software platforms and user groups.
- Independently resolving some highly complex technical issues within a given technical area.
- Partnering with members of a given team or other IT teams as appropriate.
- Implementing end-user or enterprise infrastructure/application or services of moderate complexity as prepared by a more senior technologist in support of more complex solutions.
- Proactively searching for issues and providing solutions to prevent problems from occurring in the area of responsibility, including patch management.
- Independently reviewing, implementing, and verifying highly complex and high-risk changes and solutions.
- Ensuring entries for the configuration management database are complete and accurate.
- Building and configuring application integrations between enterprise applications or infrastructure.
- Designing, developing, testing, and deploying application-specific code.
- Supporting quality assurance by following code standards, design principles, and source code analysis tools through the use of continuous integration, automated unit testing, deployment automation, and code tools.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certificate required.
- 2-4 years of application development and/or software development experience.
- 1+ years of experience using Java, JavaScript, and open-source frameworks to facilitate the creation of complex, database-driven solutions.
- 2 years minimum of ServiceNow experience.
