- Job Description: Senior Technical Consultant– Software Asset Management (SAM)
Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement custom solutions in ServiceNow to streamline and automate Software Asset Management (SAM) processes, focusing on SaaS license management.

Customize ServiceNow’s SAM module for better tracking and management of SaaS licenses, ensuring integration points with third party SaaS systems are functional and optimized.

Create ServiceNow workflows, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, and data transformations to handle specific SaaS license use cases (e.g., provisioning, deactivation, renewal, license usage tracking).

Lead the implementation of integrating OOTB and custom SaaS license management solutions (like Adobe Creative Cloud, JetBrain and DockerHub) with ServiceNow SAM.

Implement APIs or connectors to synchronize license data from third party system into ServiceNow for visibility, reporting, and compliance purposes.

Lead the implementation of OOTB and custom SaaS license management processes using ServiceNow SAM module.

Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for the ServiceNow SAM module.

Develop and configure ServiceNow reports and dashboards to provide insight into the status of SaaS system’s license usage, compliance, and renewal schedules.
Qualifications:

Technical Skills:
-
Strong experience with ServiceNow development, including JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes), Flow Designer, Service Catalog, and integrations.

Understanding of Physical Data Model Architecture of ServiceNow SAM, CMDB/CSDM.
-
Understanding of software licensing models (e.g., per-user, per-device, subscription-based).
-
Familiarity with compliance requirements and vendor audits (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe).
-
Leverage ServiceNow features (e.g., normalization, Content Library, automation) to enhance SAM processes and reduce manual effort.
-
In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) processes and module configuration, especially for SaaS license management.
-
Expertise in integrating ServiceNow with third-party applications and APIs, including Adobe Creative Cloud and JetBrains, for automated data synchronization.

Familiarity with SaaS license management best practices, including understanding of entitlement models, usage metrics, and license compliance.

Experience working with ServiceNow Performance Analytics, reporting, and dashboards to track software asset usage and compliance.

Experience:

6+ years of experience as a ServiceNow developer, with at least 2+ years specifically focused on Software Asset Management (SAM) and SaaS license management.

Familiarity with compliance requirements and vendor audits (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe).

Proven success in leading ServiceNow implementation projects, from requirements gathering to post-implementation support.

Certifications:

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required.

ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) required.
-
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist in Software Asset Management (SAM) is highly preferred.
