Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)

Responsibilities:

• Lead the ServiceNow CMDB platform
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on ServiceNow CMDB
• Provide leadership to the business on platform functionality
• Guide CSDM implementation
• Recommend best practices for CSDM maturity
• Stay updated on new ServiceNow releases and advise on leveraging them

Current State and Goals:

• Current CSDM stage: Mid-stages
• Objective: Bring CSDM to completion
• Identify gaps and recommend improvements
• Analyze current configurations and suggest next steps

Team and Reporting:

• Team: 4 members
• Communication with SVP and VP levels on the business side

Requirements:

• Leadership experience in platform teams
• 10 years of relevant experience
• Relocation package available, 3 days on-site in Jacksonville or Austin

The Role: This position will be responsible for design, orchestrating, and implementing ServiceNow IT service management solutions. Creating strategic roadmaps for the ServiceNow platform, ensuring it aligns with business and IT goals. Design the overall architecture of the ServiceNow implementation, including integrations with other enterprise systems and data flow to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Oversees the implementation of ServiceNow, ensuring best practices are followed and the platform is used to its full potential. Ensures ServiceNow integrates seamlessly with other enterprise tools and systems (e.g. Workday, Snowflake, Harness, Jira, etc) to enhance workflow automation and data consistency across the board. Responsible for ensuring that the ServiceNow deployment adheres to relevant security protocols and compliance regulations. Monitor and optimize the performance of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring it can scale effectively with the growth of the business. Oversee any necessary custom development with the platform.

Essential Key Responsibilities Define, guide, and support the execution of technical governance processes​ Help develop standards and practices for maintaining the ServiceNow architecture model​ Support design and implementation of a platform operating model to achieve desired outcomes and foster end-user adoption ​ Provide technical evaluation of demands against ServiceNow platform architecture, platform capabilities, and best practices​ Offers guidance on prototyping and accelerating time from design to deployment​ Advises on configuration and coding standards​ Supports remediation of configurations not aligned to ServiceNow best practices​ Works closely with all practice owners, ITSM and the Desk

Education/Experience and Competencies Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent professional experience. 7+ years in a ServiceNow Platform or CMDB Architect role. Cloud application technology experience. Enterprise architecture experience with large program experience leading architecture and architecture design. Ability to work independently in unstructured environment. Must be highly motivated to work on large and complex systems. Highly-collaborate team player who can build strong relationships at all levels of the technology and business organizations
