Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled and forward-thinking ServiceNow Architect / Senior Consultant to support the ongoing evolution of their ServiceNow platform. The client has already implemented core ITSM capabilities and is now expanding their ServiceNow footprint to include Hardware & Software Asset Management, Application Portfolio Management (APM), SecOps, and Generative AI (GenAI) capabilities.
This role will play a critical part in designing, implementing, and maturing these capabilities while aligning with CSDM best practices and enhancing CMDB health and visibility.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the implementation of ServiceNow ITAM (HAM & SAM), APM, SecOps, and GenAI capabilities.
- Provide expert guidance on CSDM alignment, CI relationships, and data modeling.
- Support ongoing CMDB cleanup efforts and improve CMDB health & visibility using ITOM practices.
- Leverage Flow Designer to automate workflows and service processes.
- Design and implement business rules, configuration item (CI) rules, and asset lifecycle automation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into ServiceNow configurations and enhancements.
- Serve as a technical advisor for the adoption of Digital Portfolio Management (DPM) and integration with Service Builder and Agent Client Collector technologies.
- Contribute to overall ServiceNow roadmap development and platform governance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in:
- Discovery.
- Service Mapping.
- Strong understanding of and ability to speak to the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
- Experience with:
- Creating flows in Flow Designer.
- Developing basic and advanced business rules.
- Differentiating related CIs vs. referenced CIs.
- Explaining ITIL use cases for configuration items.
- Describing discoverable vs. non-discoverable attributes.
- Defining CI-to-asset conversion logic in the platform.
Bonus Skills (Preferred But Not Required)
- Exposure to Digital Portfolio Management (DPM) – understanding taxonomy and portfolio structure.
- Experience with Service Builder for managing offerings.
- Familiarity with Agent Client Collector (ACC) and MID server web socket endpoints.
