Project Scope:
The Enterprise Technology Solutions (ETS), is tasked with providing a wide range of technical support and development services on the ServiceNow platform critical to the operations of DGS divisions and offices (ETS customers). These services include introducing new technology solutions to increase process efficiency and productivity and improve user experience. To fulfill this task, ETS is seeking three (3) skilled ServiceNow Software Engineers with expertise in development, documentation, knowledge transfer and User Interface (UI), User Experience (UX), and User-Centered (UC) design. The contractor will be responsible for the technical expertise required to complete the design work, ensuring that our ServiceNow platform is both functional and user-friendly.
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Development and Customization
- Design, develop and configure custom ServiceNow applications including Service Management (ITSM), Customer Service Management (CSM), Public Sector Digital Services (PSDS) and other modules as required.
- Implement ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script includes, UI)
- Create and optimize workflows, approval processes, and automation solutions using Workflow, Flow, and Playbooks.
- Create and update taxonomy, widgets, and content in both ESC Pro and GSP Pro portals.
- Implement and enhance Service Catalog items.
- Develop automated notifications, escalations, and reports for improved operational efficiency.
- Develop Automated Test Framework testing scripts for changes.
- Conduct unit and integration testing on new or updated business process workflows.
- Support system and user acceptance testing and provide defect resolution.
- Develop release management documentation for each production change.
- Create dashboards and reports per business requirements.
- Troubleshoot and mitigate reported defects.
- Provide level of effort estimates for new application development projects.
- Provide data conversion, if needed.
- Other work as assigned in the ServiceNow platform.
- Training
- Develop training materials in an approved format for each implemented workflow including end-user documentation, presentation materials, scenarios and exercises, self-guided tutorials, and help tools.
- Create Knowledge Base articles.
- Knowledge Transfer
- Document configuration and implementation procedures and provide the documentation to the application administrators and developers.
- Provide knowledge transfer sessions with the key ETS staff on the configuration and implementation of ServiceNow applications to ensure application administrators and developers can support the system.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to ServiceNow system administrators and developers.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, testers, and end-users to ensure that designs are feasible and meet user needs, facilitating effective communication.
Mandatory Skills:
- Experience to meet the Minimum Qualifications must have been gained within the past ten (10) years.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming.
- Minimum three (3) FTE years of the above experience must have been in a lead capacity.
- Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related or Engineering field.
