Job Title: Technical Analyst About the Role
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual who can champion a culture of delivering quality technical solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, Business Analysts, and team members to understand business requirements and design effective systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, implement, and support applications software delivered on time and within budget.
- Make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code.
- Participate in component and data architecture design; performance monitoring, product evaluation, and buy vs. build recommendations.
- Provide guidance and training to less experienced analysts and programmers.
- Understand how Scotiabank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls. Requirements
- Computer Science Diploma or Degree; or related work experience.
- ITIL Foundation certification or training.
- ServiceNow Advanced System Administrator certified or training.
- ServiceNow Scripting certification or training.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of a single large or multiple small applications.
- Has experience in systems design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies.
- Good communication skills.
- Good time management skills to work on multiple assignments.
- Ability to do research and development of new ways to leverage the ServiceNow platform.
- Ability to work on systems integration projects.
