Join Leidos as a Lead Senior ServiceNow Developer and play a vital role in advancing SSA's Digital Modernization Strategy. You will be part of a dynamic team focused on developing next-generation enterprise APIs and modern, responsive user interfaces which directly support the Social Security Administration (SSA) in serving over 65 million Americans each month. We are looking for a motivated individual with extensive experience in ServiceNow development across various modules, as well as proven leadership skills as a ServiceNow Team Lead.

  • ** Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site in Woodlawn, MD 5 days a week.

  • Serve as both Team Lead and Senior ServiceNow Developer.
  • Analyze customer requirements to create solution architectures that emphasize technical management, automation, and operational reporting.
  • Guide the creation of solution artifacts, such as optimization plans, architecture, and other documentation beyond basic user stories.
  • Assist in building prototypes and lead technical reviews and requirement discussions.
  • Support and mentor other ServiceNow Developers to enhance team performance.

FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, a Master's degree with 6 years of experience, or 12+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 8 years working as a ServiceNow developer.
  • Strong technical leadership skills and a proactive approach to taking on responsibilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for articulating technical solutions clearly.
  • Experience with U.S. Federal Government projects.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance is required for this contract.

  • Certified System Administrator (baseline)
  • Certified Application Developer (baseline)
  • Additional ServiceNow certifications in areas such as:
  • Customer Service Management

  • Service Mapping
  • Strategic Portfolio Management
  • Application Portfolio Management
  • Software Asset Management
  • Hardware Asset Management
  • Over 8 years of experience developing solutions in various ServiceNow applications, including ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, CSM, SecOps, GRC, and HR.
  • Five or more years in technical discussions and reviews.
  • Experience with a variety of ServiceNow platform components and related third-party integrations.
  • Extensive understanding in developing system architecture and design principles.
  • Experience in maintaining IT-related data integrity, including CMDB, HAM, SAM, etc.
  • Five or more years of industry experience across fields like Financial Services, Healthcare, High Tech, and Retail.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership experience driving change and solutions.

HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD (Desired Skills)

Illustrate your modern development skills through the following:

  • Experience in web development technologies such as X-HTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, Angular, JavaScript, PHP, .NET, or Java.
  • Proficient in implementing JavaScript for automation within ServiceNow modules.
  • Familiarity with REST and SOAP web service protocols.
  • Experience with Business Rules, Workflow, Identification Rules, Workspaces, and External Portals.
  • Knowledge of SAML, Active Directory, or LDAP.
  • Specialized ServiceNow Developer Certifications, including for ITSM, HAM, SAM, ITBM, CSM, SecOps, GRC, TRM/APM, or HR.
  • Project Management or Agile certification.
  • ITILv4 Foundations Certification.
  • Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Pay Range: Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00

The Leidos pay range for this position serves as a general guideline and is not an assurance of salary. Various factors will be considered in offer extension including responsibilities, education, experience, and internal equity.
